S.A.V.E. Studi Analisi Valutazioni Economiche Srl is a research, consulting, and training company in Health Economics, Pharmacoeconomics, and Outcomes Research. It was founded in Milan in 1994, as a first crossroad between theoretical heritage, academic models, and business experience in Italy. S.A.V.E. offers multiple tools to support decision-making processes within Institutions and companies and for professionals in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, aiming at exploiting resources more effectively.

S.A.V.E. Studi research center is a founding partner, together with the University of Pavia, of CEFAT Center of Pharmaceuticals Economics and Medical Technologies Evaluation which carries out research in the field of Real World Data (RWD) and Real World Evidence (RWE) and their applications to the pharmaceutical market, medical devices and life sciences industries.

In collaboration with University of Pavia - Department of Drugs Science, S.A.V.E organize and support the postgraduate Master (MAMAF) on Marketing management in the pharmaceutical industry.

S.A.V.E official journal is ClinicoEconomics - Italian Articles on Outcomes Research Journal, and in collaboration with Making Life Srl offers reprints and customized layouts of the published articles.

Activities

S.A.V.E. is active in the fields of pharmacoeconomics, outcomes research and HTA, and offers tools to define, measure, and communicate the economic evidence of a product (drug and medical device) or treatment pathway. In that sense, academic research and consulting strategies work in synergy to offer an exhaustive and functional picture of the clients’ needs.

  • Pricing and Reimbursement

    1. Social and health cost studies of a disease (quantification of consumed resources and determination of the costs of managing some types of patients, borne by the national health service and society as a whole)

    2. Definition of the Value Dossier to negotiate price and reimbursement with national, regional and local health authorities

    3. Preparation of cost studies for Quality Adjusted Life Years (QALYs), Cost Minimization Analysis (CMA), Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA), Cost Effectiveness Analysis (CEA), Cost Utility Analysis (CUA), Budget Impact Analysis (BIA)

    4. Analysis, assessment and creation of clinical pathways on new or existing therapies and of diagnostic pathways for the treatment of certain diseases

      SAVE carries out research activities in the field of Real World Data (RWD) and Real World Evidence (RWE), together with the University of Pavia, as founding partner of CEFAT, with reference to:

    1. Governance systems and organizational tools for monitoring and evaluating the appropriateness of pharmaceutical and healthcare expenditure

    2. Pharmacoeconomic analyses on data from Banca Dati Assistito (BDA) – Integrated Patients Database e Patients Registry

    3. Support with Real World Data (RWD) for a national and regional planning and programming of pharmaceutical and health expenditure based on Real World Evidence (RWE)

    4. Definition of specific indicators and permanent observers of populations and evaluation of the use of drugs and medical devices in terms of Outcomes Research

  • Training

    S.A.V.E. carries out training and updating activities for professionals in the social-health and pharmaceutical sectors, as a natural carryover of its work in research and consulting. S.A.V.E. defines study seminars and workshops, and participates in congresses, in constant partnership with other national and international scientific bodies. The contents of the various subject areas are defined by constantly tackling the discussed themes in the S.A.V.E. research fields and considering suggestions from the social-health sector which are functional to Market Access activities. It is possible to request targeted programs for the in-depth analysis of specific interesting themes for a certain group of professionals, or choose the most functional plan in view of the nature of the program to be implemented (internal seminar, residential day of study, distance learning, workshop, frontal lectures).

    At S.A.V.E., the staff is composed of a strong group of researchers and professionals who are hands-on in the medical, pharmaceutical, economic and statistical fields, as well as in social-health policies and risk management. All partners and members of the scientific ethic committee are actively involved in academia and have an ongoing scientific relationship with their university departments and institutes.
